Meetings
Ecton Parish Council will meet bi-monthly on the fourth Tuesday of odd number months (January, March, May, July, September and November). Meetings are held in the Village Hall, High Street, Ecton at 7.30pm.
Meetings are open to all residents to attend, everyone can attend, although they can only speak on agenda items if invited to do so by the Chairman.
If you have a question you would like the parish council to answer at a meeting. If you email the clerk at clerk@ectonparishcouncil.gov.uk at least a week before the meeting so that your question can be investigated for a full answer and added to the agenda if necessary.
Agendas for each meeting are published at least 3 clear days before the meeting and are displayed in the village noticeboard along the High Street and posted on the Ecton Village website and can be downloaded.
Draft minutes are uploaded to the village website before the next Parish Council meeting and can be downloaded if required. Please note the draft minutes will be approved at the next Parish Council meeting.
Meeting dates for the new financial year are as follows:
2026 – 19th May – Annual Meeting of the Parish and Annual Meeting of the Parish Council (Election of the Chair). This meeting is being held a week earlier than normal. Parish Council Meetings 2026 – 28th July, 22nd September and 24th November.
2027 – 26th January, 23rd March and 15th May – Annual Meeting of the Parish and Annual Meeting of the Parish Council (Election of the Chair).
The next meetings being held are the Annual Meeting of the Parish followed by the Annual Meeting of Parish Council (election of the Chair) and are being held on Tuesday 19th May 2026 starting at 7.30pm at Ecton Village Hall. All are welcome to attend.This meeting is being held a week earlier than normal.
