Hiring the Hall
What's Included
There are two main spaces for hire. The main hall is 90 sqm and the lounge is 25 sqm. Both are accessible by wheelchairs.
The lounge opens out on to a patio area and garden access to which is included in the hire of the lounge.
There are ladies, gents and disabled toilets with baby changing.
There are six round and eight rectangular tables with 80 chairs. Examples of different layouts can be seen in the Gallery.
Included in any hire is the use of a fully equipped kitchen with crockery, cutlery, glasses and cookware.
Rates of Hire
There are two possible hires; the Main Hall or the Main Hall plus the Lounge. The hire rates are:

Requests for booking to be made to the Bookings Clerk who confirms availability and price depending on whether hirer is an Ecton resident or not.
A provisional booking is made, and the Conditions of Hire and Hire Agreement are sent out to be returned together with a deposit of 50% of the hire charge, to be paid within 10 days of sending out the agreement.
Full balance is due 2 months before the event; if the booking is within 2 months of the event, then full payment is required on booking.
For certain events such as birthdays, anniversaries, wedding receptions full payment (or a significant deposit) may be required with the return of the Hire Agreement. Further, an additional premium may be levied as a bond to cover any additional charges e.g. breakages or losses or if the premises is not left clean and tidy. For events not including serving or selling alcohol the premium is £50; for events serving or selling alcohol the premium is £250. If the bond applies, then it is due to be paid 2 months before the event together with the balance payment.
If the event is cancelled by the hirer, then the following sums will be payable:
- Less than 2 months before the event-Hire charge
- Over 2 months but less than 6 months-50% of hire charge
- Over 6 months-No charge

Notes
- It is the responsibility of the hirer to meet all performance and alcohol licensing requirements.
- To comply with agreements made with our neighbours the Hall must be vacated by 11.30pm.
